Head out on a hiking exploration of Sólheimajökull Glacier in southern Iceland, where an expert guide will take you to find blue ice, crevasses and amazing ice formations. You will be supplied with a helmet, crampons and an ice ax. After a lesson on how to use them to walk safely on the ice, you will take the short walk up to the glacier. Spend 1.5 hours exploring the surreal surroundings with the ice-carved by streams and waterfalls to create intricate labyrinths and beautiful ridges. This glacier walk is for all levels, so all can enjoy the rugged, ever-changing terrain of the glacier while learning about its features.
